Every now and then you run into an online business that’s so impressive, you have to write a review. As a retired senior citizen, I’m hooked on these wax melt scents. It may sound weird, but I’m retired, and my wife thinks I’m crazy. So, this past Saturday (June 8, 2024), I started looking for men’s wax melt scents, specifically one that contained OUD wood. Oud is a rare, fragrant oil extracted from the resin of the Aquilaria tree, also known as agarwood. The word "oud" comes from the Arabic word al-oud, which means "wood". Oud has a rich, woody, and earthy scent with animalic, smoky, and sweet notes. Just what old retired guys need. When mixed with other scents it’s amazing. Anyway, I searched and searched until I finally ran into www.empresscandleshop.com and decided to order a fragrance called “MY HAPPY PLACE” and "MYSTERY MAN". I placed the order with a couple other items. There was a very minor glitch on the site, so being in business for myself for over 40 years, I thought I should notify the company and send a brief email. Within minutes, I received an email thanking me for my email about the very minor glitch. That’s when I first became impressed. Then today (Monday, June 10, 2024), the order I placed on Saturday was already delivered to my home. Impressed again! I opened the well packaged box to find a thank you card, my order, plus samples of other men’s scents that the owner thought I may like. Impressed again! The first sentence of the Empress thank you card explained a lot to a man who’s been in business for over 40 years with his wife as a partner. “The Empress is a small, woman owned and run business!” The facts are, women founders tend to build businesses that generate more revenues, create higher job growth, dream bigger, and execute better. I received a sample of this scent with my recent purchase and it smells amazing! It is the perfect mixture of floral and vanilla and I for sure will be purchasing this in the future!

I am absolutely obsessed with this scent!!! It is my second time purchasing this specific scent and It smells amazing! You also don’t have to spray a lot for it to last a long time which is a huge plus!

I can spray this on and it’ll last the whole day no problem whereas some luxury brands that I own can’t even do that. The scent is pleasant and as someone who gets headaches easily from colognes and perfumes this doesn’t trigger them at all!

The candle has such a sweet and amazing smell that lasts a long time after the candle goes out. I only had to put one in my living room and I could smell it upstairs!

This candle is like no other. From the moment you light the wooden wick, the scents begin to flutter into the air and fill the room. Don’t under estimate the potential of even the smaller candle. These are the most unusual candles I’ve ever had. Im addicted to great smells. Normally candles burn for a couple of hours and there’s not much scent. The aroma from these candles will literally last sometimes more than a day throughout my house. If you have not tried them please try 1 and you will never be without them.
